BMM Marathi Shala - Online Marathi Language Courses offered
Courses for High School students and beyond
- Five level courses, each level comprises 36 sessions per academic year (September to June).
- Marathi courses are developed and taught by BMM Marathi Shala faculty based on World Languages syllabus requirements.
- All course material is delivered through multimedia instruction coupled with realistic learning objectives.
- Students will interact with their classmates through online discussion boards and interactive content to gain competency communicating in Marathi.
- Upon completion of each level course, students will receive a certificate of completion.
Acquired proficiency at the end of five level courses
Prerequisites and requirements for the course enrollment
- Student must be 9th grader or up in a High school in USA or Canada. Copy of the proof of High school enrollment and/or Copy of the proof of 8th grade completion is required for the admission.
- Student enrolling in Level_2 to Level_5 must pass BMM Marathi Shala online Pre-assessment test for placement in the appropriate level before enrollment.
Tuition fees
$250 per student per academic year.

Class Schedule
Class schedules are based on Instructor’s availability. There may be some flexibility based on mutual agreement between instructor & students at the beginning of the year.

Conversational Marathi Classes for Adults
The course provides an opportunity for students 18 yrs. and above to learn and hone conversational skills in Marathi. This is a beginners course and no pre- requisites are necessary. Beginners Online Conversational Course introduces students to Marathi via an innovative language program. Students will learn the alphabet sounds, vocabulary and sentence structure through audio and visual media. By the end of the course students will be able to speak simple sentences based on everyday life situations.

Enrollment starts August 1st, 2021 and continues through September 30th, 2021
BMM Marathi Shala Online Marathi Language exam
Student will be giving interim and final exam at the end of each level. Exam will be conducted in the first week of June every year. Student will receive a grade certificate and transcript for the completed course work after passing the exam. 50% marks in each Oral and written exam will be required for Passing. Grading will be based on standard ACTFL Proficiency scale.
Optional: Grade 9 and above students can appear for BMM-BV exams as an external student with mutual consent of nearby local BMM Marathi Shala.
